Vintage Collectible Prison Ring 1930-1940 - Celluloid / Tortoise

For sale is an extremely rare and authentic collectible "prison" ring (prison ring / sweetheart ring), dating from the period 1935-1945 (Interwar / World War II).

This is a classic example of folk art (folk art / trench art). It is handmade from early plastic (celluloid) with a beautiful translucent tortoiseshell effect in brown and amber shades. The front features handmade engraved lines in a light color, framing a photograph of a woman from the era.

Authenticity Features:
On the back, beneath the head, there is the characteristic factory/handmade fine slot from which the craftsman slid the photograph inside. This element is the greatest proof of its authenticity and historical significance.

Condition: In excellent vintage condition for its age. The celluloid fully retains its shine without cracks, breaks, or distortions. The photograph is perfectly clear and stable in its position.

Dimensions: Outer diameter: 25 mm
Note: Due to the thickness of the material, the inner diameter is very small (small size). It is mainly suggested as a piece for collection/display or for a very thin finger.
