Angelos Gontikas is a multifaceted and complete artistic nature: poetry - writing - notes and painting. A clear dominant feature in all these activities of his: the human element. This has been recorded as a distinct characteristic in his paintings at the National Gallery.
Angelos Gontikas, born and raised in Patras (1932), emerged from the well-known political lineage of the Gontikas family. He worked as a graphic designer, studied decor, drawing, and painting at the Folkwangschule in Essen, West Germany, and graphic arts at Paul Pfau in the same city. Later in Athens, he maintained a lithography shop for twenty-five years under the brand Offset Graphiker - Angelos Gontikas. He has presented his work in solo exhibitions in Athens (first exhibition PKD Athenians 1977), in Patras, and others.
