secondhand Belgium 2 euro new, cancer awareness coin

New

Belgium - 2 euros (cancer prevention in Belgium)

Subject: Combating cancer in Belgium

Description: The design features a ribbon at the center, which is used as a global symbol expressing commitment to the fight against cancer. The shape of the ribbon extends along both sides in the form of curved lines, symbolizing the movement of a heartbeat on a screen, as an expression of life and vitality. At the top, three lines appear as a reference to a rainbow (symbolizing hope and comfort). The country code "BE" and the year 2024 are added to the bottom line. At the bottom of the design, it is inscribed in French and Dutch: "Lutte contre le cancer" - "Strijd tegen kanker". The initials of the designer, Iris Bruijns, are placed on the left side above the inscriptions. Since the minting of the coins will be carried out by the Royal Dutch Mint, at the bottom of the design, the caduceus of Hermes, the symbol of the Utrecht mint, is placed along with an aster flower in front of an Erlenmeyer flask, the symbol of the director of the Belgian mint. The outer ring of the coin depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
