Condoms' Praise "New Borders" - A. A. Livani & Co. 1992
Thirty-two top comic designers unite against a common but insidious enemy: AIDS. A relatively old edition since it was published in Greece in 1992, while the original edition from 1991 is the result of Franco-Swiss collaboration. It is an ambitious effort by 32 sensitized designers from around the world, including our own Arka. This is how the comic war against the deadly AIDS virus began. An alliance of art, with the ultimate goal of breaking taboos and prudery, as well as informing the youth (of the time) about love. It was released as a supplement to the official state campaigns (where they took place).

The original edition was funded by the French Ministry of Culture, while the profits from all editions in the countries where it is published are donated to various organizations or institutions involved in research for combating AIDS. The Greek edition donates its profits to the PASTER Foundation, which is involved in the effort to detect and diagnose it, in collaboration with the corresponding one in France.

All stories are autonomous and with their own character and color, capturing the essence in one to three pages at most. Of course, there are also artists like Arka, who suffice with one image that is, however, proof of the saying: "a picture is worth a thousand words." Through the 68 pages of comics, which bring laughter with their cleverness and cunning, they also convey the necessary messages about the value of life and, of course, the means to protect it, which is none other than what is mentioned in the title: the condom. The necessary safety for our love life.
