"PALIA (Vintage) EMPTY WINE BOTTLE." SAMOS (20th Century)

Old wonderful Empty wine bottle (contained sweet wine with a dark amber color) and with a magnificent chromolithographic label from the mid-20th century. Found in a storage of a traditional house in the mountainous village of Vourliotes in Samos.
Dates back before the Island was incorporated into Greece (1 Nov 1912 /
Themistocles Sofoulis). And before the dominance of the E.O.S. Samos as the sole production entity. It has beautiful embossed representations, with an impressive Coat of Arms in the center of the bottle of the Principality of Samos and with inscriptions GOLOSTEIN~GALANIS / SAMOS (VATHY). The label is an old chromolithograph, probably from the 1950s / 60s. Specifically, it presents traditional figures in local costumes, namely a Man and a Woman in local Attire with a vineyard background highlighting the cultural heritage of the Island, which adorns and complements the beauty of the bottle. Sometimes an old label on a collectible bottle can encapsulate in a few lines and images elements of historical journey, as well as the entire philosophy of the Samos winemakers of the previous century.
MUSCAT DE SAMOS / The Samos Wine Company Ltd SAMOS. The bottle is in excellent condition with minor wear due to time on the label. A unique Museum bottle of historical significance.
