This material was created to meet the basic needs of participants in the training seminars for teachers of D. Bonias educational institutions. It covers basic themes of didactics, with a focus on the planning of the educational process and evaluation. It concerns teachers of any specialty, as the information presented is introductory. Didactic science deals with the application of methods and techniques that facilitate the learning process and for this reason focuses on the three main phases of education: planning, implementation, and evaluation. Some completely separate it from pedagogy. Others consider it a branch of pedagogy, distinguishing pedagogical science into theoretical and applied, with the latter being identified with didactics. Whichever view one adopts, it leads to the conclusion that didactics is an applied science. For this reason, the teacher or prospective teacher studying its themes should not primarily aim at acquiring relevant knowledge but at acquiring skills (I can do). The notes will therefore only be useful to those who are willing to experiment by applying the suggestions they contain and adapting them to their own educational reality. In conclusion, I would like to thank the trainees who piloted the material and evaluated it, so that its improvement is feasible, and my colleague and wife, Emmy Modinou, who edited it at a scientific and linguistic level, decisively helping to shape a clearly better result.
