An extremely rare and authentic desk chronograph (Desk Chronograph) ZENITH, made in Le Locle, Switzerland by the legendary Manufacture of Georges Favre-Jacot, one of the most important houses in the history of Swiss watchmaking.
The watch features the historic Zenith Calibre 19 lignes (19'''), with a diameter of 41.20 mm, one of the most significant and reliable chronograph movements of Zenith from the early 20th century.
The case diameter is approximately 70 mm, making it an impressive Grand Chronograph of the era.
This specific movement matches a recorded example from the Swiss collection Christian Etienne (Clinique Horlogère), dated around 1910. The serial number of the present movement (3.036.449) is just 592 numbers away from the recorded example (3.037.041), which is a particularly strong indication that it comes from the same production period, around 1910.
The same Zenith Calibre 19''' was later used in the historic Zenith "Modèle de La Poste", intended for service use in the Swiss Post, demonstrating the exceptional reliability and quality of this movement.
