Precision scale REX of English manufacture, over 100 years old, brass, with a wooden box-case-base with a drawer. Known to goldsmiths, pharmacists, etc.
This is an extremely rare type of assembled scale.
The box dimensions are 20.1 x 10.7 x 5.6 centimeters.
On the top side of the box rests the stable brass post of the scale, 11 cm high, with a locking lever. At the top of the post, an engraved scale is placed for balance indication. On this post, when we are about to weigh, the remaining system is placed, consisting of the horizontal oscillation rod with a spike at the top and the loading discs on it. All of the above are stored in the wooden box.
For weighing, it has 8 weights (scales) made of brass weighing 20, 10, 5, 2, 2, 1 gr and two smaller ones 200 and 50 mg.
The total weight of the entire system is 550 grams.
It is in excellent condition.
