The commemorative patch of the photo was created for the large-scale NATO air exercise named "Ramstein Flag 2024", which took place for the first time in Greece.
🔴It was held from September 30 to October 11, 2024, with the main hosting base being the Andravida Air Base (117 Combat Wing) and the supporting base being Araxos Airport.
🔴Twelve allied countries participated with more than 130 aircraft (4th and 5th generation such as F-35, Rafale, F-16, Mirage 2000-5).
🔴At the top, it reads "RAMSTEIN FLAG 2024", while at the bottom, the humorous aviation saying "OLD DOGS NEW TRICKS" is displayed.
🔴It depicts the legendary fighter aircraft F-4E Phantom II, which has served for decades in the Hellenic Air Force (hence the designation "Old Dogs").
🔴In the upper half, the Greek Flag dominates as the host country. In the lower half, the official emblem and name of NATO / OTAN are located.
