The PANASONIC AG-DVC200 is the world's first video camera designed to use large DV cassettes, allowing you to record 180 minutes of broadcast-quality recording on a single cassette.

The AG-DVC200 uses three 1/2" IT CCDs providing superior image quality.
The use of the IEEE-1394 I/O connection gives this video camera the ability to transfer video and audio signals of broadcast-quality directly to a home computer equipped with IEEE-1394.

The DV format uses 8-bit digital component recording at 25 Mbps, with 5:1 compression within the frame and 4:1:1 color sampling.
Three 1/2" IT (Interline Transfer) CCDs with 410,000 pixels are integrated into the camera head.
The CCDs, along with the video camera's digital signal processing, allow the AG-DVC200 to capture images at F11@2000 lux, with very low smearing.
An excellent horizontal resolution of 800 lines is processed in the camera head.

A 4-pin IEEE-1394 (Firewire) connection allows for the transfer of digital video and audio signals between the video camera and another device equipped with IEEE-1394, such as an NLE system. Digital information can be transferred between devices without loss.

The camera head of the AG-DVC200 inherits the same transmission specifications as Panasonic DVCPRO cameras in broadcast format.
