Rare vintage silkscreen (sérigraphie / silkscreen) by Moebius (Jean Giraud) from the universe of Major Fatal / Le Garage Hermétique, titled “Days in Armjourth”.
Edition Stardom / Diagonale 7, 1989, dimensions approximately 40 × 60 cm.
This is a characteristic work from Moebius's iconic period, with its distinctive futuristic aesthetic, extremely detailed line work, and visual universe that established him as one of the most important creators of European comic art.
This particular copy was purchased from the bookstore/shop ΒΑΒΕΛ in Athens and has been in my possession since then.
It has been kept framed for many years.
The silkscreen is presented in very good vintage condition for its age. The central illustration and colors are well preserved. On the light-colored outer margin, there are some slight signs/stains of aging, which are shown in more detail in the photographs.
The older wooden frame shows normal signs of wear and age, mainly small losses of color and bumps in certain spots and corners. The work has not been removed from the frame to avoid the risk of damage. For the same reason, the back of the sheet has not been checked. No visible signature or numbering is present on the front. This particular edition is known to have been released in unsigned / unnumbered copies, so the listing does not present this specific copy as signed or numbered.
