In prison, he is isolated and decides to channel his anger and despair somewhere. Thus, he begins to write in his cell, a book about his life story titled “The 16th Round”. Although his autobiography is published and soon becomes a bestseller, Carter remains in prison, thus stirring the interest of all Americans, as well as a group of Canadian activists, who join forces with him to prove his innocence.
