Monkey Shoulder whiskey

Monkey Shoulder is an interesting story. One day, the legendary master distiller William Grant, David Stewart, decided to create the world's first blended malt, combining single malts from three of the finest distilleries in Speyside.

It’s good for beginners to know that there isn’t even a drop of grain whisky in Monkey Shoulder. The selected malts mature from the start in first-fill bourbon barrels. The proprietary casks enhance these barrels, adding a light vanilla aroma to the aging malt whisky.

Brian Kinsman, who is the distiller at the moment, always chooses the right combination of barrels for each batch he makes, to guarantee a smooth taste and rich aroma in the end.

The three malts from Speyside are blended in a large cask, where they rest together for 3 to 6 months. When the malts are blended and the taste is approved by Brian, this triple malt whisky is bottled and a label is placed on the three monkeys.
