Summary

A new, charming literary character, an unemployed person of today who alleviates the spiritual or physical ailments of people by suggesting them the appropriate books. And in this way, novels, short stories, and poetry cease to be just ink on paper and transform into therapies, medicines, and even research tools that illuminate dark crimes.

Vince Corso, a lookalike of Gérard Depardieu, is an unemployed professor, the product of his mother's fleeting relationship with an unknown traveler. The only memento he has from his father is three books left behind in a hotel room: a legacy that marked his life. To survive, he resorts to bibliotherapy as a profession. However, when he discovers that his neighbor, an avid reader, has disappeared, Vince begins to study the woman's life through the books she read, convinced that with her disappearance, she is writing a story that only he can decode.

Vince strengthens his faith (and along with him, the readers') in literature as an inevitable tool of knowledge.
