Set of 2 patchwork pillowcases

The set offered here consists of two patchwork pillowcases. Patchwork is the technique that incorporates “patch” which means patch and “work” which means work. Technique that joins pieces of fabric to create a single colorful, and usually very striking, design.

1. The first pillowcase consists of joined cotton, narrower or wider, strips of fabric in pale white and pink. The décor is floral and complemented by fine polka dots. The front face is quilted and inside contains a thin sheet of fiberglass. Surrounding it is decorated by a wavy fabric sash. The back of the piece is a floral cloth that closes as an envelope. The pillowcase consisted of a set with a bedspread bought in the 90s. While the blanket was used normally, the pillowcase remained stored without ever being used; I would call it new. However, its fiberglass is as if it has been sanded. [Please look carefully at the photos, which complement my description. The piece is given as described and as imprinted therein.]

2. The second pillowcase consists of joined square pieces of cotton fabric. The colours of the sails are either monochrome on white, pink, salmon and vermilion or floral on white bases, intense pink and burgundy. Around the perimeter there is a fabric strip from the same décene. The back of the piece is a floral cloth that closes as an envelope. The pillowcase consisted of a set with a bedspread bought in the 2000s. While the blanket was used to the fullest, the pillowcase was used much less. I would call it “slightly used.” However, at one point (I show it in the 11th photo) the union between three fabric squares has been broken. Something that I could fix myself, but I prefer the person concerned to know the exact condition of the items he is getting. Of course, this is a defect that is easily corrected with a few stitches. The set of pillowcases can dress up cushions that will beautify various corners of the house such as a bed, an armchair or a sofa. And of course there is always the floor, the terrace or the yard where they can be entered as cushions!
