A few words about the artist

Kalli Kastori was born in Volos in 1958. She pursued studies in music and guitar, having a huge impact from a very early age. She made recordings for radio stations in Cairo, Romania, Sofia, and ERT. She taught for several years and gave concerts at International Festivals, such as the Apollonia Festival of Arts in Bulgaria and Aalborg in Denmark.

Since 2000, Kalli Kastori has fully dedicated herself to Visual Arts. In 2003, she ranked first at the School of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated first from the workshop of George Golfinos.

During her studies, she was awarded four scholarships from I.K.Y. and achieved the highest grades.

Having graduated with honors from the School of Fine Arts A.U.Th., in June 2008, she was awarded the Michalis Foundation scholarship for postgraduate studies abroad.

She studied at the University of the Arts in London (Wimbledon College of Art) with the internationally renowned painter Geraint Evans. In 2011, she graduated with the title “MASTER OF ARTS.”

Her work has been presented in well-known galleries and art spaces in Greece and abroad. In 2013, the Hellenic Cultural Center in London held her solo exhibition titled “Freeze,” which led to a related article being published in Wall Street International Magazine titled “Kalli Kastori: Freeze.”

She has held fourteen solo exhibitions in Greece, Cyprus, London, Brussels, and the European Parliament and has participated in more than 30 group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.

Her works are in the Frissiras Museum, Vogiatzoglou Gallery, in private collections in Greece and abroad, as well as in public organizations and galleries.

She was distinguished in 2020 at the Osten Biennial 2020, with the Osten award for National presentation, the same year with the Royal Arts Prize, finalist and exhibition at Pall Mall Gallery in London, and in 2019 at the Art Gemini Prize, finalist.
