The movie American Pie is an American teen sex comedy from 1999, directed and co-produced by Paul Weitz and written by Adam Herz.
At East Great Falls High School in Michigan, four friends are waiting for the end of their last school year before college. The sexually inexperienced Jim Levenstein (Jason Biggs), the lacrosse star Chris "Oz" Ostreicher (Chris Klein), the intellectual and philosopher Paul Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), and Kevin Myers (Thomas Ian Nicholas), who desperately wants to have sex with his girlfriend Vicky (Tara Reid). During a house party organized by Stifler (Seann William Scott), the friends learn that their classmate Sherman (Chris Owen) has lost his virginity. Disappointed by their own lack of sexual experience, the four friends make a pact to lose their virginity on prom night in three weeks.
