The most impressive modern technologies are based on machine learning. From face recognition to self-driving cars, from speech recognition to translation, applications that are increasingly becoming part of our daily lives and all have some elements of training. In fact, most of these systems would not be feasible today without machine learning. With the increasing availability of data and computational power for processing them, we observe a growing tendency to let the system learn on its own, either from the collected data or through trial and error, rather than programming it solely for the task.
