In this book, the reader will have the opportunity to learn the basic principles of computer science as well as their application in the field of information science. Therefore, topics in computer science are examined such as hierarchical knowledge models, the philosophy of information, computer architecture, categories of modern computers, representation and data structures, databases, the concept of algorithms, software, etc. Having heard for the first time or having conducted a comprehensive review of the above concepts, the reader can continue with the second and third parts of the book, where they will encounter specialized concepts and applications (and not only) related to information systems and libraries.
