Antique English Made Hornet Brass Oil Lamp Large Reflector Wall Table Lantern

Original heavy-duty brass oil lamp, with reflector mirror plate. Design features solid yellow copper body, large round reflective surface and heavy vertical bracket with integrated keyhole slot at the back, for secure wall fixation. The lamp functions through capillary action via a cotton wick and features a fully operational winding mechanism. Its primary function was to serve as a bright, directional light source for industrial or maritime spaces by doubling the light output forward. Authentic lighting piece representing historical metalware craftsmanship from the late 19th to early 20th century. Piece of maritime and industrial history.

Pros / Cons
Positives: Structure solid, rigid and holds original shape. Brass surfaces clean without cracks, leaks or deep dents. Glass chimney, winding mechanism and cotton wick secure and untarnished. Interior clean with fuel reservoir tested and completely watertight. Functional piece.
Negatives: Minor surface aging and usage marks mostly on the back side. No hidden manufacturer base stamps or patent years on the bottom.
