Original WWII German Goggles Complete Set 1942 Merz-Werke Ultrasin 55% Manual Pouch Wehrmacht

Original German Schutzbrille from World War II. This lighter 55% Ultrasin variant was used by the Wehrmacht against bright sun, snow, and dust. Worn by motorcycle dispatch riders (Kradmelder) and armored vehicle crews i.e. on the Eastern Front and in North Africa.

Complete set consisting of the goggles, the Presstoff storage pouch, and the paper instruction manual. The original ink stamp "Ultrasin 75%" inside the flap matches the lenses and the manual exactly. This proves the set originally belongs together.

Manufactured in February 1942 (dated 2. 42 on the paper) by Merz-Werke, Frankfurt am Main. Produced under license from Nitsche & Günther, Rathenow.

The set is in nice, collectible condition. The glass lenses are intact and free of cracks. The pouch is sturdy with a functioning snap button. As is common with materials over eighty years old, there is some minor hardening, light corrosion, and sensitivity of the material. Still, a beautiful piece for presentation in a display case or collection setup. For details, please see the photos.
